I spy..........Two Ducks

While outside yesterday Brent noticed we have a pair of Ducks in our creek. We believe they are nesting in our back yard, which is pretty cool. They are huge and beautiful. I tried to get as close as possible without scaring them away. Thanks to everyone for guessing. I think I will do more of these in the feature.

A day at the park

Last Saturday it was so beautiful here. Almost 60 degrees and just a little wind. So after breakfast Audrey and I set out to the park. The little swing was not available so I put her on the regular swing and she loved it, "weee mommy". She loved to lean back and go wee. I was thankful the baby swing was open a while later. There were many other kids playing there and a few people walking their dogs. Of course she had to say hi to all the dogs as well. As long as I helping her with the spring toys she had fun on them. She could make them move a little on her own but it was not fast enough. Audrey will enjoy rollercoasters with her Daddy I think.

Speaking of Daddy, he came home a little early on Saturday and after resting, we went to the park again. One down the road. Now that Audrey is able to walk, she really got to explore all areas of this park. It is an awesome park. She got to swing again, then climb and go down the slides. She even went down head first on the smaller ones 'weeee" all the way down. Brent and Audrey got to spend some fun time together and she was very happy with that.Their smiles say it all in this picture. Can't wait to scrapbook it. Thanks Granny and Grandpa for my cool hat!

This slide had extra bumps in it and you could go real fast she went down a few times on her own then on Daddy's lap. It was super cute. Then they went on the tire swing together. Audrey has discovered the feeling of making one's self dizzy at home. then again on the tire swing. She was laughing and giggling the whole time. The pictures from that were a bit fuzzy.

Happy Valentines Day

Valentines Day 2006

Valentines Day 2007

Here the little Angel is again, all cozy in the bed. She was watching Sesame street this morning.

A year later still has her Daddy's puppy dog eyes, more hair and now has learned to walk around with her tongue hanging out! Her smile just melts my heart. So full of love.

Such a girly girl with her Valentines dress and painted red nails!

A walk at the Marina

On Saturday Audrey and I went for a stroll along the docks at the Marina. The ones down the road from where Brent and I used to rent a cabin. It was a gorgeous day and somewhat warm out. While walking along the docks, chocolate chip cookie in hand, we came across a lone star fish. I just pointed it out to Audrey and she took it upon herself to go and pick it up. It was still alive. So she threw it back into the water and then clapped. Yah Audrey! She thought that was cool. She really enjoyed the walk, and did walk the whole way by herself. Even made a few friends along the way.

Here is the view that we used to have when we lived in the cabin. I also just love the seagulls all lined up on the breakwater thingy! The other birds (not sure what they are) must be drying their feathers out. They stayed like that for quite sometime. As we were walking back up the docks Audrey was telling them "Bye, Bye birds"

Kitty Kisses

Tonight while giving Audrey a bath Jules came in and wanted kisses from her. They have a mutual understanding of giving and recieving Kitty Kisses. It is the cutest! Jules likes to head butt and rub his head on yours for kisses. Audrey no longer tries to kiss him human style she knows to give him Kitty kisses back. She loves her Kitty. He I think is becoming pretty fond of her as well.

The Ferry

On Saturday we went to the Seattle Boat Show. It was such a gorgeous day. We got out and walked around on the ferry a little bit. In the back ground is Seattle.

Audrey is like her Daddy she loves the water. She has no fear and was looking over the edge watch the wakes and birds.

It was a hazy day but you can still see Mt. Rainer in the distance. We have had poor air quality the last few days.

Shoes, Shoes and more shoes!!

Hmmm.. What pair to put on first?

Shoes!

I like my new shoes. I will be able to wear
these in the spring, with all my dresses.

Only a year old and has a fetish for shoes. So of course Auntie Debbie the bargain shopper bought her 3 new pair of shoes for $20. Audrey was very happy to get new shoes and had to put them on right away over her pajamas! Thank you Auntie Debbie, Uncle Clinton, Kyle and Little Roo.

Saturday... Dinner Train

Dominique, Doug, Anna and JD

So after recovering from Friday we slept in on Saturday and planned on doing things around the house. Since it is the first weekend Brent has had off in Several weeks. Then we get a phone call from our friends JD and Anna asking if we would like to go on the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train. Anna's company had purchased 8 tickets and they only had 6 people that were able to go. We agreed to go and after stealing the baby sitter from someone else we caught the first ferry to Edmonds on time. It was so great. We had a terrific night and had a great seat on the train. We were in a dome car so we had a view of the cities and Lake Washington. We sat with another couple from Anna's work and they were great company. The train stops at a winery for sampling and tours then goes back. That was really cool and we got to have quite a bit of wine. We had prime rib for dinner and it was scrumptious. I told our waiter that it was Brent's birthday (which on Sunday it was) and the whole car sang Happy Birthday to him. He did turn red. It was great. We got off the train at 10 and had to catch the 10:35 ferry in order to make it back at a decent time. JD pulled right up to the end of the passenger dock at 10:34, we ran down the terminal dropped 15 dollars for the $13 dollar ride, ran down to the ferry and boarded as they were lifting the passenger dock. Yes another close call. The next ferry wasn't until 1145 and we really did not want to have to wait for it. All in all it was a wonderful evening and it only cost us the $15 dollars for the ferry ride.

Friday WFG Award Dinner

"2006 Rookie of the Year"

What an eventful weekend. Started out Friday we were headed to the Awards/New year dinner for WFG. We had to catch the 5:15 ferry out of Port Townsend. We left the house at 4:10. Got to the Ferry dock only to be the first car not let on the 5:15 ferry. So after stopping in the middle of the lot Brent asked if we could walk on. Yes we could, so.... Annemarie and I (in our formal clothes) grab her baby in the carrier and our stuff and run (and I mean run) onto the ferry. Brent was told to go park the truck in the lot and run back so they could leave. Well as Brent is running back ( and we all know he doesn't run) the men on the ferry pull the lines and off sails the ferry, leaving Brent at the docks. Needless to say we were all not very happy. Luckily Cliff (one of Brents friends) was the last car on the ferry and we were able to squish into his truck with 3 others and ride to the dinner. After much frustrations Brent decided to catch the next ferry over (worth it now that the tides were different and there would be a later ferry than normal). So he arrived just before Dinner got over and the awards started. He got 4 awards including "rookie of the year" for the baseshop. His and JD's team took 18 out of 20 awards given. Go team Seattle. Unfortuneatly because of the missing ferries and us leaping onto ferries in formals, we did not get a picture of us together all dressed up. However I did get one of Brent getting an award.

Hi Nana Carol

Last week I was on the phone with my Nana Carol and told her "love you". She was so excited. I was trying to talk to her and cookie monster at the same time. Can you imagine what it will be like when I actually start talking on the phone?? Look out!

Baby Buggy

My Auntie Debbie, Uncle Clinton, and cousins got me a baby buggy that came with two babies for Christmas. It is just the right height for me to push around right now and I love it. I also like to take the babies out and put them back in and carry them around the house.

I am getting very good at pushing it around the house and when I run into something I can turn it around all by myself. Thank you Wills family for my awesome present! I will enjoy it for several years.
