Farewell Tinkerbell

I apologize to all my ghost blog readers (lol) that I haven't updated recently. Been trying to limit my time on the computer and been spending time with Brent and Audrey.....playing the games she got for Christmas.

SO here is a little update.....

On New years eve Brent and I played a game of monoply......end result it was a total reflection of the 2008 year for us. Very scary how it turned out....I won (which I was really excited about) but even so it was not a good turnout. With that said, Brent and I said we just had to play another game on January 1, to see if our fortunes have turned. So once we were all up and moving January 1 we played again and sure enough this time it was MUCH MUCH better. We were both very excited and optimistic that 2009 is going to be a wonderful year filled with great fortune!

A few days ago I was contacted by the head coordinator of the MOPS group Audrey and I are members of and have been asked to join their steering team for next years term and to generally be more involved. I was very honored to be asked and gladly accepted. So on Friday I went to the steering meeting and learned more of what they do as well as had a great prayer session with many great Christian women who understood our hardship and continually are supportive and encouraging. It felt very good to be prayed for and to pray for others. I think it was something I needed.

Also on friday we had to sadly put Tinkerbell to animal heaven with Harley. She suffered a fall about a month ago and was getting sort of old. I noticed about a week ago she was not doing so well, and was not walking right. Well yesterday when I took her out she had lost all use of her hind legs, was very skinny, lost a majority of her hair on the lower half of her body and was over all unhealthy looking. so we put her to rest. After reading more on ferrets and such, I think what she really suffered from is Adrenal Cancer which is common in ferrets of her age and she had many signs of it. They say it can be treated with surgery and/or shots for the rest of her life, but we felt it best to put her to rest.

All that aside......Today was a TERRIFIC day! SO needed and we are really greatful that it was such a wonderful happy day.

We got a ton done around the house this morning.
Brents motorcycle is finally done and running at the bikeshop....just waiting on a second check from insurance and we can pick it up. 3 mos it has been there.
A great mail day. love getting happy things in the mail and not nasty bills!..Thanks Pappy
We have been waiting almost 2 1/2 weeks for 3 packages via UPS.... Came home today to recieve 2 out of 3!! Both of which were from Auntie Arlene..............THANK YOU THANK YOU! We are all loved our wonderful gifts. Love the 12 days of Christmas!
I was sort of bummed the 3rd didn't come as that was the first one shipped, but hoping it will come on Monday.
Also we picked up Paul today from the airport and all were excited to see him and he was happy to be back. Audrey could not wait for him to be back so she could play "slides and ladders" with him. (chutes and ladders) He also had good news that his offer on a house had been accepted and he could be moving in by the end of the month! Congrats Paul!

With that being said................2009 is going to be a fantastic year!! Look out world here we come.

CHEERS! to our family and friends. Here is wishing you great health, happiness, hope, love and faith in 2009. We love you all very much and thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Sarah, Brent, Audrey, Sassy, Guinness, Jules, Bambi, Pixie and Gizmo

In loving Memory of :
Tinkerbell

Your blog speaks volumes of what we are experiencing in CA. We are both still unemployed! I cannot believe the hardships we have been facing but HOPE is a hard habit to break. So is prayer, so keep it up and know that love is all you really need. Thank you for the wedding congrats! Carol will probably be shocked! I have been anti-marriage for most of my life, lol...but we really want to start a family, have a couple of kids...so I am ready to shake things up a bit. Nothing changes if nothing changes...one of my favorite lines! 2009 will present itself with many new and wonderful moments for us all! Happy New Year!

Happy Prosperous New Year! I am sorry about Tinkerbell but I think you made the right decision. If you send some of that awful weather our way (by the time it gets here it will be mild) you can get UPS to go down your drive!
