Once more the portals have opened
In answer to the Master's call.
Again He has claimed a loved one,
A summons that comes to us all.

We feel bereft in the parting
With Loneliness it seem we cannot bear
We forget there is always One present,
Our sorrows He offers to share.

Let us not lean unto our own understanding
But on Him who will do His share
If we but place our hearts in His Keeping,
And rest assured there will be no night there.
